The ability to learn faster than your competiotrs might be one the the very few sustainable competitive advantages that modern copanies have (de Geus, 1989). Annual research about the impact of organizational learning on organizational performance provides evidence for this claim perpetually (Dimovski, 1994; Škerlavaj, 2003; Dimovski in Škerlavaj, 2004; Škerlavaj in Dimovski, 2005; Škerlavaj et al, 2007). International research (Cross and Parker, 2004) shows that when in need for information, people first turn to other people and only after that search through inpersonal databases, such as Internet, books and electronic databases. Knowledge is born, transfered and expoited through realtionships among people which form networks. Hence, it is interesting to apply methodology of social network analysis (Wasserman and Faust, 1994; Batagelj, Ferligoj, Mrvar, Sniijders et al, Borgatti) to the intra-organizational learning and knowledge networks (Lazega, Škerlavaj and Dimovski 2006, 2007). In this context, numerous research opportunities are at hand. For more information please contact: Miha Škerlavaj, PhD. ![]() |
